TINNITUS IS NOT A FATAL DISEASE BUT A CONFOUNDED NUISANCE!

Elly, Congratulations on your book.

"You've done a lot of work and saved other searchers a lot of work.

Hope the chiropractic coverage in your book grows in time.

In my experience, when a tinnitus sufferer needs a chiropractic adjustment nothing else will do." Best wishes, Robert Cowin. Chiropractor, Australia What is the main problem with Tinnitus? Extreme strain on the neck and shoulder muscles.

Is it really that simple? Yes it is, for at least 99% of the tinnitus population.

There are so many supposed causes of tinnitus. No one can make any sense of it.

Researchers are busy researching, but do not appear to be making much progress.

But what is the one thing that most sufferers have in common? Tension of the neck and shoulder muscles!

Why have we never heard of this? Because no one has thought to look at this area.

(One researcher has recognised that tinnitus can be changed by jaw movements in some people. Further tinnitus research in this area has not yet taken place.)

A clinic in Sweden has proven this very thing.

The Vertigo, Tinnitus and Pain clinic (YTS) patients' outcome of treatment. The intensity of symptoms according to a VAS scale for 24 patients suffering from vertigo, tinnitus and pain. C0 is the first examination (baseline) and C1-C6 are the subsequent six-month check-ups. The image shows a three-year follow-up after coordinated treatment of TMD and CSD. (TMD-temporomandibular disorder; CSD-cervical spine disorder.) The line at the top shows intensity of tinnitus. It went from 9 on the VAS to 2 on the VAS. It dropped three units between C1 and C2.

* Vertigo (24 patients). * Nonwhirling dizziness (24 patients). * Feeling of fullness (9 patients). * Pain in the face or jaw (12 patients). * Pain in the neck and shoulders (18 patients). * Headache (18 patients).

Earpain.

Doctors have no answer for it. But this is also muscular.

It is THE most often asked question.

I received this in an email:

Hello, I just found your web site. I have had bad pain in my left ear for 6 years. On and off. It gets worse when I am exposed to loud music. I just tried the excercise you recommmend (putting hands behind back and stretching the top of the head upwards) and the pain went! iu too am sure something must be wrong with my neck. Thanks for a great site.

Pulsatile tinnitus If a doctor cannot find a cause then it is a muscular problem.

It is so simple to treat.

Hyperacusis - what can I do about it? Hyperacusis is really an extension of Tinnitus - or at least the fear of it. There is selfhelp available for this.

Expensive treatments are not necessary.

Hearing loss - will it be permanent? Not necessarily. Many people have had their hearing return.

Even people who are nearly deaf can be helped.

MRI - do you need one? Your doctor has recommended one. You are now terrified that there might be a brain tumor. But the doctor is only doing this to rule out any unusual things.

It is a standard procedure.

Can children get tinnitus? Yes, they can. Possibly 10 percent of children will have tinnitus at any given time.

But it is also treatable.

Chiropractors - are they good or bad? Many people are afraid to go to a chiropractor. But it is not necessary to be so afraid.

Discuss the procedures beforehand.

If you don't want your neck manipulated - say so.

Any other adjustment will be fine.

Stress Stress is the IN word these days. What is the result of stress? Stress causes the muscles to tense up.

Sound - make your own CDs Can't find any CDs that have the right sound for you? There are free programs on the internet that will create these for you.

This sound could be used to create a CD.
